1. General Rules
a. No infield practice on game fields before games begin.
b. No games may run more than 7 (seven) innings (Finals not included.)
c. Scheduled games that have been postponed, continued or rained-out may be made up at the Tournament Directors discretion.
d. Ten (10) run Mercy rule applies after four complete innings.
e. There will be no protest committee. Only the team manager may protest a call with the Plate Umpire. Plate Umpires discretion is final.
f. Any team not complete and ready to play within 5 minutes of game time (called by Plate Umpire) shall forfeit the game.
g. Scoring. Win = 2 points, Tie = 1 point. Ties will be broken as follows:
- Head to Head playing record
- Teams with fewest runs against rewarding defense.
- Run differential for all games played; Highest positive differential.
- Total number of runs scored in all games
- If a tie still exists after meeting all the previous criteria, then a coin will be flipped.
h. No new inning can start after 1 hour 45 minutes of playing time. Official time to be kept by Umpires on field. Finals not included.
2. Games Rules
a. A starting player may re-enter the game only one time. A player listed in the starting line up must always bat in his/her original place in the batting order.
b. The use of an Extra Hitter (EH) is optional. The EH can be substituted in any position (except for pitcher) and must maintain his/her position in the batting order.
c. A runner who does not slide into any base (except 1st base) and makes contact with the fielder who is holding the ball or in the process of catching the ball will be called "out". The throw must be judged "playable".
d. Substitutions for an injured base runner should be a player on the roster but not listed in the current line up. If no player is available, the last person up in the order that is not on base may be used.
e. No Slashing ( fake bunt, pull back, then swing.)
3. Pitching Rules
a. Fastballs and change ups (fast or slow) are the only legal pitches.
b. The delivery of a single pitch constitutes an inning pitched.
c. A pitcher may pitch a maximum of twelve (12) innings during the tournament, (Finals not included.)
d. Pitchers will be limited to no more than six (6) innings in two consecutive games (Finals not included.) In the event of a tie, the starting pitcher, who pitched all six innings, will be allowed to pitch one extra inning maximum at the Manager's discretion.
e. If a pitchers hits three (3) batters per game, or two (2) batters per inning, he/she must be removed as a pitcher for the remainder of the game.
f. At no time can a player return to the mound as a pitcher in the same game that player was removed from that position.
g. The intentional walk is NOT allowed. A pitcher shall intentionally walk NO player. The catcher must stay in position behind the plate.
h. The Manager is allowed two(2) trips to the mound per inning. The pitcher must be removed on the second visit.
i. After each game, the team manager must submit an "innings Pitched" tracking form including the game score to the concessions stand.
j. Violation of any Pitching rule may result in the forfeiture of the game by the offending team.
