The AAA Championship begins next week and it should be an exciting and competitive series. The board would like to remind everyone of the leagues sportsmanship and conduct policies. This can also be found on the website at the following link https://www.gmlb.org/league-bylaws-rules-policies.html

A reminder about our umpiring situation. It is very challenging to find credentialed umpires. As a youth sports organization that is about learning and developing baseball players, it is also an opportunity to develop umpires. We do have a number of teenage umps. They allow us to play games - and they are learning right along with the players. They are going to make mistakes and that is ok. Please support them just like the players. Finally, if you would like to be an umpire or hear about what it takes to umpire in our league, please reach out to a board member or a coach/manager. We can always use volunteers.
IV. Sportsmanship, Conduct and Safety Regulations
  1. No profanity will be allowed. This includes players, managers, coaches, parents, and other adults and spectators. Ejection is at the discretion of the umpire. Repeat offenders will be referred to the Board of Directors and subject to disciplinary action.
  2. Any players using any profanity, throwing equipment or acting in an unsportsmanlike manner will be benched for the rest of the game, enforced by the Umpire. Repeated offenses will be brought to the Board of Directors for appropriate disciplinary action.
  3. A player can be benched for disciplinary reasons at the discretion of the Manager.
  4. A player whose team is involved in a game that has already started is not allowed at the concession stand.
  5. If a player has three (3) unexcused consecutive absences from practices or games, he or she may be benched at the discretion of the Manager. The Manager is required to notify the Player Agent for review.
  6. Only the on-deck batter may swing a bat to warm up and must be in front of the dugout. No other player shall be outside the dugout or playing field swinging a bat.
  7. Harassment of umpires will not be tolerated. Any incident will be reviewed by the Board of Directors for possible disciplinary actions.
  8. No glass objects (bottles, jugs, etc.) or food are allowed in the dugouts or on the playing fields.
  9. No alcohol, smoking or smokeless tobacco is permitted on the facilities or during any league sponsored event.W
