Youth Sports Guidelines for Adults

  1. Support your child (win or lose).
  2. Encourage your child to learn.
  3. View the sports experience as an important part of a child's growth.
  4. Attend games.
  5. Keep goals of the league in mind (behavior as a spectator).
  6. Don't harass umpires
  7. Don't undermine a coach.
  8. Lend support to the team (be on time—pick up on time).
  9. Have patience with your child (encouragement).
  10. Provide proper equipment.
  11. Youth sports are for the children.
